We created this cover-up using an authentic lightweight kantha quilt made from pre-loved vintage 100% cotton sarees, and re-imagined it into a wearable, multi-functional piece. Each one is unique.  More about our Kantha fabric

From a deeply rooted tradition in India, our authentic kantha fabrics are made from pre-loved vintage cotton sarees, which have become irresistibly soft through wear. Several layers of the sari cloth are sewn together by hand with a repeated running stitch to make a quilted blanket.

The Sari fabric in our kanthas have lived a vibrant life. They may have stray threads or small holes in the layers, some color fading, or light stains. To us, these imperfections are just evidence of a life well lived from afar, and bear witness to the resilience and strength of the fabric.

We've re-imagined and created these quilts into unique wearable pieces. It is our hope they will be celebrated for their beauty and continue on their journey for years to come.
